Not ready for a $25K build? Start with $1,500.
A one-week operational diagnostic of your vessel. Honest fit assessment. No sales pressure. Pays for itself either way — keep it, or apply the full $1,500 toward your eventual Discovery if you move forward.
A real engineer's read on your vessel ops — in writing.
Current-stack mapping
What software, paper logs, comms threads, and apps your vessel is running today. Every duplicate, every gap, every workflow about to break on the next crew rotation.
Compliance posture audit
Where your vessel stands across 8 frameworks (SOLAS, ISM, ISPS, MLC/STCW, MARPOL, COLREGS/LY3, EPA VGP, POPIA/GDPR). Audit-readiness scored honestly.
AI-readiness assessment
Is your vessel actually ready for AI ops? Manual quality, fix-history depth, crew literacy, data-access realities. Don't waste $25K if the foundation isn't there.
1-page fit/no-fit report
Honest recommendation: is VesselIQ right for your vessel right now, in 12 months, or never? Written by a 14-year chief engineer. No sales spin.
One week. Three steps. Done.
Kickoff call
You + captain + (optionally) owner. We capture vessel basics, current systems, biggest ops pain points. Nothing scripted, nothing salesy.
Remote assessment
We review manuals, ops docs, compliance logs (shared securely). Map current state, identify gaps, score AI-readiness. No vessel disruption.
Report delivery + readout
You receive the report. We walk you through it. Honest recommendation: go, wait, or no-fit. Decision is yours.
Three people who should take this before any platform decision.
The captain considering a platform change
You've been running 5 apps + 3 binders for 2 years. You know there's a better way. You don't want to be locked into the wrong choice. The Diagnostic tells you in a week whether VesselIQ fits your vessel.
The owner getting pitched by SaaS vendors
You're hearing low monthly cloud subscription pitches from a dozen vendors and you want a real engineer's read on whether off-the-shelf or custom-built is right for your vessel. The Diagnostic gives you that read.
The mgmt co evaluating fleet-wide ops tooling
You're considering rolling out one platform across 3–8 vessels. The Diagnostic — done on your largest or most-complex vessel — tells you whether VesselIQ scales to your fleet at justified cost.
The 1-page report — what it actually looks like.
Anonymized excerpt from a hypothetical 52m vessel diagnostic.
Diagnostic complete · 7-day cycle
Two outcomes. Both win.
Either VesselIQ is right for your vessel — in which case the $1,500 credits 100% toward your Discovery and you've got a written roadmap. Or it's not — in which case you've spent $1,500 to get an honest assessment from a 14-year chief engineer instead of $25K+ on the wrong platform.
No further commitment. No NDAs we don't both sign. Your vessel data stays yours, encrypted end-to-end, and is deleted within 30 days unless you engage further.
What we usually get asked.
Is the $1,500 refundable if I decide not to engage?
No — it's a flat fee for the work. But it credits 100% toward Discovery if you engage within 90 days. So if you go forward, it's effectively free.
Do you need on-vessel access?
No. The Diagnostic is fully remote. We work from manuals, ops docs, and a 30-min kickoff call. Full Discovery later requires on-site time.
How is my data handled?
End-to-end encrypted, single-tenant from day one. NDA available pre-Diagnostic on request. Deleted within 30 days if no engagement.
What if you recommend against VesselIQ?
Then we recommend against it. You get a 1-page report that says so, with reasons and alternatives. We'd rather lose a $25K engagement than ship the wrong fit.
Can a mgmt co purchase this for multiple vessels?
Yes — multi-vessel diagnostics quoted on request. Typical pattern: diagnose the most complex vessel first, then roll-out is informed by that assessment.
How long until I get the report?
7 days from kickoff call. Always. If we miss the deadline, the $1,500 is refundable in full.
